5 Cleveland Browns to target late in fantasy football drafts
By Tyler Bowen
QB DeShone Kizer
Projected rank (Via Yahoo! Fantasy): 2755
There’s no evidence that points to former Notre Dame Fighting Irish signal-caller DeShone Kizer becoming the starting QB to start the regular season. In fact, there’s not a lot of evidence that he will start any games for the Browns in 2017.
Even if projected starter Brock Osweiler ends up getting traded, Kizer still has to battle second-year QB Cody Kessler to see field time. This pick is mostly for dynasty drafts, a league with multiple starting QBs, or a very, very deep league.

The Browns have already seemed to take a liking to their second-round selection, who has impressed so far in training camp.
Again, this is not a suggestion to select Kizer in a standard, re-draft league. Rather, he is a pick for a team planning years ahead. Kizer is mobile and possesses a strong arm, two things that are highly valued at the quarterback position in today’s pass-happy NFL.
For a standard, re-draft league, it would be smart to steer clear of Cleveland’s QB situation as a whole. Regardless of who the starter is, they likely won’t have a very long leash, especially in such a heated quarterback competition.
