Now, just so this isn’t labeled an overreaction, I would like to acknowledge the beat down the Los Angeles Lakers put on the Golden State Warriors Saturday. I get it, don’t “panic” or be “irrational.”

The only element missing to that argument is the drama surrounding the Cavaliers. It’s easy to blame the “media” and “bloggers” for inducing panic in a fan base, but no one forced LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to send out cryptic, immature tweets.

I’ve been very open regarding my criticism of Irving. I wanted to see him made available at the trade deadline, not Kevin Love. I fear 2016 may be the last year for the “Big Three” if a championship is not won. To further prove my theory that Irving is the root of the problem, using ESPN’s Trade Machine, I constructed five trades that would improve the team.

Not all are plausible or totally realistic, but pondering the trade’s hypothetical impact is entertaining enough. All point guards involved in the deals would improve on court chemistry for the Cavaliers.

Irving is an an incredibly skilled basketball player that has a lot to learn. Will he go somewhere else and be successful? Maybe, but I just don’t think he has the heart to win a championships based on his style of play.

Here are my five trades to get rid of Kyrie Irving and improve the team.
