The Cleveland Cavaliers are tasked with defending the NBA title this season. As always, the team could use some help. These five players would be suitable mid-to-late season addition.

Losing Matthew Dellavedova will have a huge impact on the Cleveland Cavaliers backup point guard spot. For basketball junkies, how the Cavaliers navigate through this problem will be one of the bigger storylines of the season.

In Delly, the Cavs lost a gritty defender who had dramatically improved his 3-point shooting ability from when he first entered the league.

Rookie second-round draft pick Kay Felder should get plenty of opportunities to claim the job, but there are questions about his defense.

Offensively, his game looked great during Summer League play. However, now he’s entering the big time. Can he consistently perform night in and night out?

With the team structured as it is, the Cavs will be fine at point guard, because Kyrie Irving will start the season healthy. In addition to Irving, LeBron James will bring the ball up the floor plenty of times.

With that said, the Cavs still may want to look into making a roster addition that will help later in the season as the club prepares for its playoff push.

These five players could arrive in Cleveland later this season via trade, or off the street, and help the Cavaliers defend their championship.
