#25 San Diego Chargers Select Trent Murphy, Stanford, Linebacker – The San Diego Chargers select Trent Murphy with the 25th pick. Trent Murphy fills a pass rushing need for the Chargers. He will compete for playing time with Thomas Keiser, Melvin Ingram and Manti Te’o. The Chargers are desperate for a pass rush after finished 29th in the league this season and are also in the market for a second running back. I could see the Chargers going after a pass rusher like Vic Beasley or Kyle Van Noy or a change of pace back like De’Anthony Thomas or Ka’Deem Carey.

#26 Cleveland Browns Select Cyrus Kouandjio, Alabama, Offensive Tackle – Following the selection of Manziel with the #4 pick the Browns use the pick gained from the Colts in the Trent Richardson trade to solidfy their offensive line. Kouandjio is a raw, but talented offensive lineman. With his mass and strength he will improve the run game when plugged in at right tackle, moving Mitchell Schwartz inside to guard. Kouandjio could also replace Joe Thomas down the road at left tackle. Shows similar traits to Andre Smith, the high pick right tackle for the Bengals. With a deep wide receiver class and the value of running backs going down the Browns choose an immediate impact player they didn’t expect to be there. A wide receiver, cornerback or inside linebacker are also possibilities here.

(Hypothetically) #26 Indianapolis Colts Select Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State – The Indianapolis Colts select Allen Robinson with the 26th pick. Robinson fills a need at wide receiver. He would likely be third on the depth chart behind a recovering Reggie Wayne and TY Hilton. Had the Colts not foolishly traded their first round pick to the Browns for running back Trent Richardson, they would most certainly go after a wide receiver. The Colts lost Reggie Wayne mid way through the season, and struggled without him. They need a big possession receiver who can attack defenses in multiple ways. Robinson would be a great fit for the Colts. The 6-3 210-pound receiver has great hands to go along with speed and strength. With TY Hilton burning down field, Robinson would be free underneath to haul in first downs and get big yardage after the catch. He was very productive in his junior year with 97 catches for 1,432 yards.
