#71 – Gabe Jackson

With no right tackles available the Browns need to still upgrade their offensive line in comes Jackson, perhaps the best run blocking guard in the draft. Jackson could plug in on either side of the line and provide power that was often missing on the Browns line last year. There are some linebackers available at this point that would fit value but getting Jackson at the top of the 3rd round would be a steal. I got sick of watching the Browns line get pushed backwards on every play last year. Some of it might of been the scheme but run or pass the line of scrimmage moved backwards about 2 yards every play. Jackson will be a part of solving that problem. The Zone Blocking Scheme should also help. The Browns have now spent 2 picks in a row on offensive players that should plug in immediately as starters. That along with Shanahan should make an immediate difference in the quality on that side of the ball.
