The Browns have a couple of good options left at #35. They will most likely not double up on receiver early but players like Brandin Cooks, Allen Robinson and others were available at this point as well. Offensive line could be addressed with Cyrus Kouandjio falling a bit due to medical concerns, as well as top guards Gabe Jackson and David Yankey still available. Yet the Browns haven’t seemed to interested in offensive linemen this off-season. Its possible that they see the current crop as good enough in the Zone Blocking Scheme. They have a number of linemen on their roster that could fit the scheme well and may look to add a player a little later.

Verrett addresses a big need in the secondary, a #2 corner back. While he also stands under 6′ tall he is a talented lanky fluid cornerback who will succeed in coverage while he adds bulk to his frame to play the run. With Joe Haden on the other side he will be tested often but his coverage skills show that he is up for the challenge. With a deep CB class having one fall to the Browns at 35 is not surprising but very welcomed.
