#83 Travis Swanson

The Browns still have needs on the offensive line and haven’t re-signed Alex Mack yet. The offensive has a great deal of needs so starting with Beckham is good but many of the remaining picks need to be used to address depth and need on the offensive side, if talent permits.

Swanson is a tough gritty player who can come in immediately and start at guard for the Browns. He may not have to but will be given the chance to compete for that opportunity. He is a smart strong player that should help open holes for Ben Tate and others. He needs some work on his pass protection but playing next to Mack should help him learn quickly. For the Browns Swanson gives them some insurance in case Mack leaves after signing his tender or in case of a Mack injury, as Swanson is noted primarily as a center.
