#83 – Travis Carrie
The Browns hit on their cornerback needs here with Carrie out of Ohio University. Carrie is seen as a possible steal by many in the draft and stays local coming up from Athens to Cleveland. Carrie stands 6 feet tall and is over 200 lbs. His size and play making ability help the Browns in the area they currently lack.
#106 – Roosevelt Nix
Another in state product answers the inside linebacker need for the Browns. Nix played multiple positions for Kent State but Emory projects him as a inside linebacker at the next level. Learning to back pedal and play in coverage will be important for Nix but the Browns should have the flexibility to work him in slowly.
#127 – Dri Archer
Archer is the last of the Ohio small school products that Hunt has the Browns selecting in the draft. Archer is a interesting prospect. His body type and speed lend him to a Darren Sproles/Dexter McCluster type role, and may also get him overdrafted, yet his tape doesn’t always show that same ability to catch the ball and make people miss. Playing for small school Kent State may be part of the problem for Archer. Either way the Browns bring in a dynamic athlete that could impact defenses by his mere presence.
