"Round 1 (26) CB Jason Verrett, TCU (from IND)"

Possibly upsetting many Kiper passes on a WR to pair with Manziel and instead goes with Verrett out of TCU to pair with Joe Haden. It is an interesting pick that could pay off big time, especially with the 3 weapons the Browns already have as receiving threats in Gordon, Cameron and Andrew Hawkins. Here is why he picked Verrett:

"I get the corner I need in Verrett because I think, unlike most corners, he’s pretty capable of helping me right away."

So having a player that can help right away was important for Kiper for the Browns. Has he bought into the idea that Jimmy Haslam wants to win now and would take a player who can contribute right away over a player who is more talented but more raw? Many WR’s were off the board by 26 in his draft with the next two going 4th in the second round (Jordan Matthews) and 26th in the second (Davante Adams). Whoops we may have just given away a surprise non pick at 35:
