#26 – Odell Beckham Jr.

The Browns get a high quality receiver at 26 due to the depth of the class. Many receivers will be pushed down due to the rest of those available. For some Beckham is closely rated with Watkins. His frame is bigger and more durable but he is less explosive. For the Browns Beckham will line up mostly outside opposite of Josh Gordon. He will be freed up to make plays 1 on 1 while defenses turn their attention to the other side.

Beckham’s ability to go up and get the ball, box out corners for passes and overall physicality is missing from the Browns at this time. Beckham has the chance to be the best WR in this class with his overall game. He doesn’t have the size of Mike Evans or the speed of Brandin Cooks but his overall game measures up well. For the Browns this is a huge upgrade over Greg Little but with a similar frame and body type. Beckham will also help in the run game with his strong blocking. The Browns should look to add additional pass catcher, whether its a receiver or tight end, later in the draft.
