#127 – Justin Ellis

The Browns add to their defensive front 7 with a possible replacement in a year for Ahtyba Rubin, whose contract expires. A defensive tackle out of Louisiana Tech Ellis has a wide body and long arms that allow him to take on blocks as a 3-4 defensive end but enough base to play nose tackle as well. Ellis is a project but could develop in a year or two into a starter in the league. The Browns can’t only get outside the box players and add some girth and strength here with Ellis.

#145 – Jordan Zumwalt

The Browns add another player to their defensive front 7 in Zumwalt who could provide great value in the 5th round. Zumwalt, out of UCLA, is a prototypical inside linebacker that needs to build on his frame. Zumwalt will provide good value on special teams and could surprise with a Kiko Alonso type rookie year, don’t get your hopes up but it is possible. He is a highly intelligent player who knows how to get in the right position. What he lacks in physicality, which can improve under an NFL strength coach and dietitian, he makes up for in knowledge and play understanding.
