#35 Allen Robinson

The Browns address their need at WR here with Robinson who is now getting more pub as a possible first round pick. He is smooth in and out of his routes, has great hands to high point the ball and is a solid player. He may not have the upside, speed to be a #1 in the league but is a solid pickup for the Browns on the outside as a #2. The Browns could look for their #2 cornerback or an offensive lineman here and wait even longer on Robinson. There are a number of other receivers that should be available early on Day 2 for the Browns if Robinson is not available.

Unlike speedster Brandin Cooks or the giant receiver Kelvin Benjamin, Robinson won’t wow anyone with a specific characteristic. That type of player can get overlooked for a bigger pop guy. For the Browns, who perhaps have the best young WR in the game, pop is not needed. Gordon provides enough of that. Robinson, at 6’3″, has the height to be a weapon in the redzone as well as the route running to provide Hoyer, and Bortles, an open target. He will catch almost anything thrown his way and should stay relatively healthy. Developing under Bill O’Brien the last few years will do nothing but help him prepare for the NFL.
