#145 – Jeff Janis
After adding a top flight tight end and a second tier receiver the Browns come back with this small school project who could fly up draft boards if not for the depth of the receiver class from the bigger schools. Janis is a unknown player out of Saginaw Valley St. At 6’3″ and 220 lbs Janis has the size to play on the outside and make an impact in the redzone. Adding another offensive threat also gives the Browns some hope in case Josh Gordon ever fails another test.
With this draft the Browns go from Gordon, Hawkins and Cameron only to 4 deep at the WR position and 2 excellent receiving tight ends. There may not be enough balls for all of them but with the Browns depth on defense, the Zone Blocking Scheme’s ability to make linemen look good and the free agent signing of Ben Tate the Browns can overhaul the weapons quickly.
