#35 – Allen Robinson

If you have read this site for long you will know that Robinson is a personal favorite of this writer. With Donte Moncrief, Jordan Matthews and Davante Adams available the Browns will have great options. If Gordon wasn’t on the team Moncrief would be the selection, they would more then likely looked to Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans at #4 if Gordon wasn’t a Brown. If Derek Carr is the QB selecting his college running mate Adams also could make some sense.

Instead it is the all around player in Robinson that gets the call. He is tall enough at 6’2″ to help in redzone and jump ball situations but angular enough to run precise routes and go up and catch the ball. He had success in an NFL system under Bill O’Brien and is virtual lock to be a solid #2 receiver. His ceiling may not be as high as others but his floor is much higher. He will provide Hoyer and Bortles a solid threat when the other 3 quality receivers on the team, Gordon, Andrew Hawkins and Jordan Cameron, are covered. He won’t be forced to do too much in his rookie year, helpful as WRs tend to develop a little slower.
