Weekly FoS 7 Round Browns Mock Draft

#83 – Chris Borland

Part of the reason we were so excited with this draft is because need and talented matchup each time during our FanSpeak draft. We get Borland here to shore up the middle of our defense. He isn’t the dominating athlete at middle linebacker that some may want but his football smarts, leadership ability and coverage skills all fill a need on the Browns current roster.

Besides a couple of first round talents, C.J. Mosely and Ryan Shazier, Borland may be the next best ILB in this draft. Pettine could decide that he can make do with Craig Robertson, but lets hope not. The Browns also could find a lower round gem and put him in position to succeed. Borland would be a forced pick in the second round but is a value pick here later in the 3rd.
