16.) Dallas CowboysRa’shede Hageman DT Minnesota
Dallas needs to improve their D. They were awful last year and lost one of the best defensive players in Demarcus Ware so it’s time they step it up. Their D-line and safeties are most to blame, very much like Chicago. The Cowboys ran a 3-4 up till last year and that’s when things turned for the worst as they finished 30th in pass D and 27th in rush D. Here Hageman should come in and bring a huge load into either 4-3 or 3-4. All 6’5″ 310 lbs of him will occupy inside and open spaces for the linebackers to make plays. He’s explosive too and if they single block him he’ll be in the backfield making plays. Hageman will instantly open the D very much the same way Haloti Ngata did when he came into Baltimore (not as big though). Hageman is getting compared to Ndamukong Suh for their playing abilities and mental stability as well as recently departed Cowboy Jason Hatcher.
17.) Baltimore RavensTaylor Lewman OT Michigan
For the Ravens, FS and RT are the two biggest needs and with Lewman dropping, the Ravens lock him down. Lewman has some character issues that are causing him to drop further than what his talent displays. Baltimore will solidify the offensive line moving him to RT and letting the rest of the group fight for the RG position which was a huge issue for this team last year. Hopefully these improvements will help re-start Ray Rice who is coming off a disappointing last season.
18.) New York Jets Zach Martin T/G Notre Dame
Do you protect Geno Smith or give him a better weapon? This is the main question they face here, though they can also add another CB. I think they either look at Odell Beckham or take Zach Marin, with Martin being the choice due to the depth of WR this year. Geno Smith is going to need his line to step up this year so he can have more time while he develops. With more time Geno should be able to become more consistent instead of the up and down year he had last season.
19.) Miami DolphinsMorgan Moses OT Virgina
Miami’s offensive line was bad last year…real bad, especially with the Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin fiasco. Now they’ve added Branden Albert to lock down the left side but the right side still needs work. If they want to find out if Ryan Tannehill can be the leader of a contender they’re going to need to give him time and Morgan Moses is the guy who can do it. Putting him at RT will help Tannehill have more time to make the reads and take the next step he needs to make for the Dolphins to be in the playoffs.
20.) Arizona CardinalsRyan Shazier LB Ohio State
The Cardinals have a real shot at taking Teddy Bridgwater here, a limited time shot for a talented team to grab a slipping quarterback, but I think they’re going to look into the later rounds for a chance at Derek Carr (who has been linked here for awhile now). I think they look at Calvin Pryor to bring a new strong safety to the team but ultimately they go with LB Ryan Shazier to help their weak linebacking unit. The GM has said nothing but great things about him and he fits in the system in either spot, inside or outside (the GM has said inside where he would replace the Cleveland Brown new addition Karlos Dansby).
