Ty Detmer was supposed to be a year-long bridge that would lead to the ascension of Tim Couch in 2000. But when the “new” Browns debuted against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the former BYU star was pitiful, completing just 6-of-13 passes for 52 yards. Detmer is the head football coach at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas, and has had the position since 2009. When he’s not under the Friday night lights, he works as a guide on a ranch he owns in Texas.
