Cleveland Browns Starting Quarterbacks Since 1999: Where Are They Now?
NFL life got off to a pretty good start for Tim Couch. He was the No. 1 overall pick, was dating a Playboy Playmate, had his own bobble head at McDonald’s and bought a mansion in suburban Westlake.
Unfortunately, the plays Couch and the Kentucky Wildcats drew up in the dirt didn’t translate well into a pro-style offense.
Still, Couch did his best, running for his life most of the time playing behind an offensive line that was held together by duct tape and shoelaces.
Couch never lived up to his billing at the No. 1 overall pick, but he is credited as the only one of the Browns’ starting quarterbacks to lead the franchise to a playoff berth, which happened during the 2002-2003 season.
Injuries caught up with Couch, and he never played a regular-season game after 2003.
According to @timcouchtv, the former Kentucky star now works as a college football analyst for Fox Sports South.
