John Havlicek SF

Before going on to a legendary NBA career with the Boston Celtics, Havlicek teamed with Jerry Lucas and perhaps the most famous reserve in Ohio State history (Bob Knight) to win the 1960 championship.

The 6-foot-5, 203-pound native of Lansing Ohio averaged 14.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in his three-year career with the Buckeyes. Ohio State lost just six games while Havlicek was a part of the program.

His scoring average increased every season he played, but it was his defense that makes Havlicek super valuable, because he was known as a guy who could guard all five positions.

During the Buckeyes 75-55 win over California in the 1960 final, Havlicek scored 12 points and grabbed six boards.
