1. A Great Nucleus Is In Place And Is Winning Now

The Cleveland Indians already have a roster full of talent with a good mix of younger guys with key veterans. Despite Michael Brantley‘s injury filled season, he is an all star and MVP caliber player when healthy. Kipnis is another all star caliber player who has a bright future with the team and is a key player.

With the reigning Cy Young winner in Corey Kluber, as well as other talented pitchers like Carlos Carrasco and Trevor Bauer, their pitching staff has a bright future and is capable of carrying the team as needed. Kluber has thrown 59 strikeouts in his last five starts heading into tonight. During that time, Kluber got the win three times.

An underrated acquisition in baseball this past offseason was the trade that brought in Brandon Moss, who is already paying dividends and can help replace contribution left by others.

Cleveland is on the ups and ups and should continue to make noise, like they did in 2013.

Two seasons later, the club is now more experienced and with more youth mixed in their clubhouse, Cleveland is here to contend with many options. Should the team be able to maintain success going forward, Urshela and Walters would benefit longterm the more they get to play in conjunction with a talented roster, especially if they are in contention.

It is an exciting time for the Indians as they look to get back into the AL Central race. Given what this talent can do, combined with the youth of Urshela, Walters, and eventually Lindor, Cleveland is in a great position.

With a great nucleus in place, one that has made big things happen in their careers, the team should be a force for years to come.
