Iman Shumpert is a restricted free agent, and the Cavs will be able to match any offer made. The Cavs really value Shumpert’s defense. Remember, it was Shumpert the Cavs desperately wanted from New York during trade talks last winter.
He’s a great wing defender, who did show he can knock a shot down here and there throughout the postseason.
Like Smith, Shumpert didn’t have a great final series, but it’s been forgotten that he’s dealing with groin and shoulder injuries.
Rumor has it that Shump is looking for a four-year deal in the $56 million range.
