Delly-mania is officially over, as it’s become clear the Cavs still need to find a backup point guard this summer. Matthew Dellavedova will be a free agent, and his Finals play will probably command more than few offers from NBA GMs.

Yes, Delly ran out of gas after the IV game, but he showed he can excel at a very specific skillset: shutting down Stephen Curry. He couldn’t sustain this high level of play throughout the Finals, but imagine if he only had to do it 10-12 minutes a game? That’s something to be valued, and somone–hopefully the Cavs–will recognize it this summer.
