The Ohio State Buckeyes begin their quest to defend their national championship today, as camp officially gets underway in Columbus. But on the eve of the start of the practice season, the Buckeyes showed up and showed out on campus, sending messages through various T-shirts.

The quarterback completion is going to be the most watched position battle in all of college football..and J.T. Barrett arrived at check-in letting the world know his mentality to the position.

If you can’t read the T, it states “Eleven Against All.” Barrett isn’t putting himself above any other player.

I think he’s smart enough to realize he’s going to play at some point this season, and the it’s a very real possibility that Urban Meyer will find a way to player two quarterbacks per game.

OSU’s “other QB,” Cardale Jones, came to camp still fawning over UFC sensation Ronda Rousey shirt.

Cardale’s got a personality everybody can get on board with. It’s always fun with Jones, and that’s not going to change.

• Freshman Mike Weber showed up highlight the pipeline Urban Meyer has built into former Michigan stronghold Cass Technical High School in Detroit.

Somebody commented that Weber was the “unhappiest Buckeye” in the photo. This person’s suggestion goes back to Weber being recruited by running backs coach Stan Drayton. Drayton left Ohio State the day after signing day to take a job with the Chicago Bears. Rumors have it that Weber wasn’t pleased.

• In the wide receiving corps, Michael Thomas arrived wearing a “Prove People Wrong” shirt.

There isn’t much to knit-pick about Ohio State this season, but the one thing pundits have grumbled about is the Buckeyes ability to stretch the field. Postseason star Devin Smith is gone, and some question OSU’s ability to track down deep throws.

• He wasn’t wearing a standout T, but sophomore Raekwon McMillan arrived wearing gold Beats By Dre. The are probably the Beats LeBron James helped the program secure during it’s run to the College Football Championship.

• And last but not least, as Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer showed during Spring Training…if you want to be a preseason story, somehow incorporate a drone into your routine.

That’s what Braxton Miller did and it was the highlight of the arrivals.

Miller is reportedly having video taken of his final season of a college football player as he transition from quarterback to wideout in anticipation of this spring’s NFL Draft.

So there you go Bucknuts. The Buckeyes are ready and the title defense starts today!

Next: Who's It Going To Be: Cardale Or J.T.?
