Cleveland Browns: 2015 Mid-Preseason Review Part 1 QB’s and RB’s
Hard to believe, but summer is almost over. The sunny and warm days will soon give way to cooler weather, rain, and foliage color changing days of fall. For Cleveland Browns fans, there’s nothing better. Why? It means that regular season NFL football is just around the corner. Our Sundays will once again be filled with NFL Football. Hope will be at its highest point, even if Vegas doesn’t favor the Browns to win a Super Bowl, fans see everyone at 0-0.
We look to underdogs of the past, listening to ESPN’s reiteration every year that two or three new teams tend to make the playoffs that didn’t the season before thinking why not us? Is it crazy to think that there is potential for this season considering the luck this team has had since 1999? Is there real reason for optimism? Are there real reasons to be excited for the 2015 version of the Cleveland Browns? Well, it’s yet to be determined, but the Browns just finished their second preseason game out of four.
To find some potential answers, I decided that it was time to do a mid-preseason review. The third game of the preseason is typically considered to be the dress rehearsal game. It is the game teams actually do some preparation for, play the players who they consider to be “starters,” and do game planning.
So why not review the team now? We would get an idea of what we have seen so far, and what we should be looking for if the Browns are going to have any success in 2015. How has the offense looked? What about the defense? Are there any standouts? Where’s Johnny Manziel? What are the key position battles and who’s winning them? In the first part of a three part mid-preseason review series, lets examine the Cleveland Browns Offense and review how the various players at each position has performed thus far.
