5. Buckeyes QB Won’t Play Down To Hawaii

Cardale Jones or J.T. Barrett. Does it matter? Know this about Saturday: The Buckeyes will most likely extend their consecutive game streak of throwing for a touchdown to 26.

Against Virginia Tech, Jones showed why he’s going to be first-round pick in this spring’s NFL Draft, while Barrett wasted zero time before racking up his fist touchdown in garbage time against the Hokies.

Jones has a cannon for an arm, and also showed some pro skills on the skinny post route. Barrett’s bread and butter is the spread-read offense, and distributing the ball to several playmakers.

To have chance, Hawaii is going to have to get the starter to force turnovers, and frankly, it’s not going to happen unless the starter, whether it be Jones or Barrett, take a total mental vacation.

Prediction

Jones starts, but both quarterbacks will play, and dominate. OSU rolls 52-13.
