3) Fitz’s Miraculous Fumble Recovery

How Jets’ quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick recovered an errant snap at New York’s 3-yard line–beating out three Cleveland defenders–should go down as one of sports greatest mysteries.

The Browns could’ve had four downs to punch it in from the 3, but instead, gave New York the chance to punt.

Even with solid field position following the punt–the Browns took over at the Jets’ 35–Cleveland wasn’t able to find the end zone. Instead, coach Mike Pettine had to watch his team settle for a field goal.

If the defense recovers that wild snap, Johnny Manziel and company probably punch it in, and the Browns would’ve been up 14-7 with confidence oozing out of everyone’s earholes.

The defense–which struggled all day–would’ve came up with a game changing play that would’ve been positive, while Manziel would’ve orchestrated his second straight touchdown drive.
