The Game By The Numbers
– Ohio State had five turnovers on the day and surrendered 10 of NIU’s 13 points off of turnovers.
– Northern Illinois led Ohio State in time of possession 32:26 to 27:34, but managed only 190 total yards.
– For the second week in a row, Ohio State was held to just over 4 yards per play. Against NIU, that per play average was a measly 4.5 yards per play.
– Elliott kept his 100 yard rushing streak alive, pushing his run of 100 yard games to 8 after running for 108 yards on 23 carries.
