The 12-Gauge Still Fires

It’s not really that crazy to see Urban Meyer sticking with Cardale Jones. J.T. Barrett really hasn’t been that great and it’d be hard to bench a guy when the backup hasn’t been much better.

While he hasn’t been the same Cardale who won a national title, he’s still the same player.

He’s a big man who can’t be tackled easily. Plus, he’s got a cannon for an arm–and that’s huge, especially when you consider Ohio State has Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield.

With Jones’ deep threat ability, the safeties have to stay back, and that opens up lanes for Elliott.

It’s what made Ohio State successful in the postseason, and it should only be a matter time before the Scarlet and Gray get their act together in 2015.
