My Prediction

The Browns have an uphill battle ahead of them. The Chargers have not exactly lit the world on fire with their play lately but they still are a playoff contending team this year regardless of their record. I expect them to be one of the more high scoring offenses in the NFL once Rivers gets his turnovers down.

On the other side the Browns are going through some dark times. The entire city of Cleveland is debating between McCown and Johnny Manziel on who should play QB.

Their defense, which was thought to be one of the best defenses in the league has looked like one of the worst. Cleveland has played through its easiest three game stretch of the season, but only finished 1-2. Now they have to travel across the country to take on the Chargers.

I’d like to think that the Browns will improve in some facets of the game, specifically the defensive side. I refuse to believe that Cleveland’s defense, with the kind of players they have will remain at the bottom of the NFL. This will be the game that gets them back on track to be one of the best defenses in the NFL.

However I don’t think that alone will be enough.

I can see the Browns run game doing well this Sunday. However, that is not going to be the case with McCown and the passing game because of how well the Chargers’ defense has been playing. Unless the Browns’ defense somehow comes back and pitches a near shutout on Sunday, the Chargers will take this one.

Browns – 10

Chargers – 21
