Game Balls

Player of the Game: Josh McCown

How can it not be? 36 of 51 for a record 457 yards, two scores, no turnovers, and a 111.3 quarterback rating. Anyone want to start chanting “Johnny” now? The Browns are 2-3 today because of McCown’s play and ability to rally the offense under pressure.

Play of the Day: Travis Coons 32 yard game winning field goal

Even with Gary Barnidge’s circus catch with his legs, Coons gets the honor for his winning kick, his fourth field goal on the day. He is perfect on the season and as great as the Barnidge catch was, you get the nod when you win the game.

Under the Radar Player of the Game: Justin Forsett

Lost in the win for the Browns is that they still struggled against the run at critical times. Forsett, prior to leaving the game with an injury, ran 21 times for 121 yards and a score. He also added four catches for 49 yards and stepped up his game at key moments for the Ravens attack. It’s tough to score 30 points and lose, especially when your lead back has this big of a day with the top wide receiver on the sidelines.
