Each Team’s Advantage

Chiefs Run Game

The Chiefs’ game plan is to rely heavily on the run game against the Browns. Cleveland is giving up 134.9 rushing yards/game, which is 31st in the NFL. I am sure you can see where this is going.

Due to how heavily involved the Chiefs running game will be and how bad the Browns run defense is, it would be foolish to do anything else. Expect the Chiefs to run the ball often on Sunday.

Browns Pass Rush

One big struggle the Chiefs have had is on the offensive line. The Chiefs do not do a good job keeping Smith up-right, despite the fact that they do not drop back to pass as much as most NFL teams.

So far this season, the Chiefs have allowed the third most sacks with 41. This has been a weak point for the Chiefs throughout the season.

If the Browns can take advantage here and get to Smith, that will slow the Chiefs offense down. In doing so, Cleveland will ease up the task for the Browns offense.
