10 Free Agents The Cleveland Browns Should Sign In 2016

Lamar Miller, RB
Maybe the Browns address the running game in the draft. Either way, Lamar Miller is player they seriously need to consider.
Isaiah Crowell looked a tad less explosive, and Duke Johnson was a nice option catching passes out of the back field, but couldn’t beat Crowell out for carries. Crowell carried the ball 185 times for 706 yards (3,8 yards per carry) and four scores. Johnson carried the rock 104 times for 379 yards (3.6 average), and scored zero touchdowns. So The Crow and Duke combined for four touchdowns. Keep this stat in the back of your mind…
Memories are usually short in the NFL, but it was just back in 2014 when Miller totaled 1,099 yards and eight touchdowns, while adding 38 receptions for 275 yards and additional touchdown.
SB Nation’s Scotty Payne compared Miller to Clinton Portis (if that’s the case, sign me up)…
"“He is explosive, can make people miss, runs with power, and is a weapon in the passing game. He can run inside between the tackles or he can bounce it outside and run down the sideline.”"
His stats weren’t as stellar in 2015, but he was still very productive, considering he was rushing behind (what many NFL insiders consider to be) a poor Miami offensive line. Remember that The Crow and Duke combined for four touchdowns? Miller still managed to cross the goal line eight times–and it wasn’t even his best season!
Miller could be looking for $5 million per year, and the Browns have the cash to pay him. It’s a playmaker’s league, and Miller will only be 25 when the season starts. That, and the fact that he’s only tallied 200 attempts in only one of his four seasons, make Miller a worthy target.
