Shea McClellin, OLB

Shea McClellin’s been pretty unspectacular to this point, but the Boise State product has arguably playing in the wrong system. The Bears experimented with the 26-year-0ld at inside linebacker, and he had a handful of promising moments, but mostly, he didn’t live up to expectations.

The Browns need an outside linebacker to set the edge, and that can be McClellin.

NFL.com’s Connor Orr writes…

"“While many will be quick to jump on an underwhelming career to date, Mclellin might just need to be in the right place at the right time. A 3-4 team looking at him as an edge presence could find a valuable contributor for a prove-it price.”"

Some Browns fans may point to Scott Solomon as the team’s edge-setting project, but McClellin is intriguing. Guys love playing for Horton, and it seems the Browns’ d-coordinator brings the best out of his players. The Dawg Pound would love to see that work with McClellin, and it probably wouldn’t cost much.
