Cleveland Browns 2016 NFL Mock Draft 1.0

Round 5. Add To The Play-making Cornerbacks
There are questions regarding the Cleveland Browns cornerback position. It is anyone’s guess who will be starting opposite Joe Haden. Plus, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu is the wildcard.
If he shows that he is 100% healthy, then do not be surprised if he is listed very high on the depth chart. Prior to his injury, Ekpre-Olomu was playing like one of the best corners in all of college football.
Jimmy Pruitt can come in and compete for the nickel cornerback role. If Tramon Williams is still on the team by the preseason, he would have to be given a significantly decreased role. Since there is so much fluctuation that could potential occur, the group of Pruitt, Haden, Ekpre-Olomu, K’Waun Williams, and Charles Gaines is very solid.
Pruitt did a little bit of everything in college. He tackles well (181 in career), but he needs to be more consistent. Pruitt only intercepted seven passes while in college.
At 6’0, Pruitt would be a welcomed site to defend taller receivers, but do not expect him to start any time soon. He is a backup in the NFL, especially after running a 4.73 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
