A Ridiculous Kind Of Offer Would Be Needed

Eric Pitcher

Josh Gordon is someone we don’t see everyday. His skill set is rare. Despite not being able to stay on the field due to his “issues”, we know what Gordon is capable of doing.

This season, the Browns desperately need Gordon, and they need the player who played back in 2013; Someone who can be a leader for the young receivers. Gordon needs to lead Corey Coleman, Terrelle Pryor, and Andrew Hawkins when needed.

In 2013, Gordon was one of the top receivers in the NFL with below average quarterbacks. In 2014 when Josh Gordon played a whole season, he was still almost a 1,000 yard receiver.

In 2016, Gordon has a QB that has proven he can play in the NFL. Despite not playing the last season, Robert Griffin was once the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Despite Gordon’s past and not playing the past couple years, keeping him around for this long shows the Browns still have trust in him. Cleveland has to be willing to hang onto him because his positives outweighed his negatives.

So to answer the question if Gordon should be traded, my answer is no unless a team offers some kind of ridiculous offer. A healthy Gordon is a top five receiver in a league that is ruled by wide receivers.
