Continuity at Quarterback

Low and behold, the world didn’t with Cody Kessler playing quarterback.

The kid from USC played a decent game and proved to be solid game manager against the Dolphins. The third round pick even outplayed Ryan Tannehill during the fourth quarter in that contest.

If Cody Parkey make a field goal, we’re talking about Kessler being 1-0 as a starter.

Unfortunately for Kessler, he’s a Brown, so he’s still searching for that first win.

Coach Hue Jackson will probably employ a lot of Terrelle Pryor, in addition to running the ball with Duke Johnson and Isaiah Crowell.

With that said, don’t look for Kessler to look incompetent.

Washington’s edge rushers have generated just 1.5 sacks this season. He should have time to make decisions and get rid of the ball.

The men who occupy the edge for Washington are named Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith. Analytics site Pro Football Focus rates the duo very poorly in 2016. Kerrigan is listed as “poor” with a 53.7 rating. The site also rates Smith as “poor” (58.8 rating).
