4. David Ortiz Will Be ALCS MVP

It may be Big Papi’s last year but he is certainly not acting like it. This year was one of the best years Papi has had in recent memory, and there is no slowing him down.

This season, Ortiz has a .315 batting average, 38 home runs, the most since 2006. On top of that, Ortiz drove in over 120 RBI, had a OBP. of .401 and had a slugging percentage of .626.

David Ortiz lives for the playoffs. He has a .286 batting average, 17 home runs and 60 RBI in 82 playoff games.

Ortiz is arguably one of the most clutch hitters in baseball. When it comes to the late innings Big Papi is the guy you want coming to the plate. But this year, you could have any Red Sox player coming to the plate and be confident that they are going to get the job done.

Boston will first beat the Indians in a tiring and tough five game divisional series. In the ALCS, the Red Sox are going to beat the Blue Jays 4-2 and you can bet Ortiz is going to have multiple big hits, putting the Red Sox back into the World Series.
