Cleveland Indians: After A Magical Season, Let’s Enjoy October
Let’s Remember It As A Season To Remember
Whatever the Indians do this October, nothing will take away from the magic of the 2016 regular season. With 11 come from behind wins, 94-wins, towering home runs from Napoli, and a 14-game win streak, there are a lot of good memories.
Don’t let the injuries to Carrasco and Salazar sour your enjoyment of the playoffs. Don’t sit back and think what might have been. Instead, just sit back and think about everything this team accomplished this season.
Think about Napoli and Davis. Think about the home runs and the base stealing prowess these grizzled veterans brought to a team full of youngsters. They proved to be the perfect free agent pieces to the Indians puzzle.
Then think about the new core of this team. Think about Lindor, and how his infectious play inspires his team mates. While the other core players like Kipnis, Santana, and Kluber continue to grow into complete players and provide leadership. Fans once again have players they can cheer for night after night.
Finally, remember the efforts of the pitching staff. The starting rotation that picked each other up night after night. To the bullpen that backed them up with the American League’s best ERA. The Indians never found themselves out of a game, because the pitching staff rarely allowed opponents to take them out of it.
