3. Terrell Brandon

Sports Illustrated once labeled Terrell Brandon as the best point guard in the NBA. His presence is one of the reasons the Cavs ended the Mark Price era by moving the fan favorite to Washington in September 1995 for a first-round draft choice.

The story profiling Brandon was a bit of surprise, because most of the time he was overshadowed by bigger names at the time.

Brandon was drafted 11th overall in the 1991 Draft. He was a true point guard, who excelled fundamentally and was it afraid to grind games out. For his career, Brandon averaged 13.8 points per game, 1.6 steals per game, 6.1 assists per game and 3.0 total rebounds per game.

As of 2014, Brandon owned the Brandon Barber Shop in Portland Oregon, which is something he’s always wanted to do, via NBA.com.

"It’s something that I always wanted to do. A childhood friend, when we were in grade school, he used to cut my hair. And I guess I made just kind of a “kid joke” that, one day, when I get a barber shop, ‘I’m going to hire you.’ It was just kind of a kid joke. And when we got older, I continued to say it and then one day back in the early-90s, it happened. And he was the first person that I hired."

The shops popularity grew among NBA players through word of mouth, according to this 2011 story from ESPN.

Brandon’s Accomplishments are 2 time NBA All Star (1996, 1997), NBA All Rookie Second Team (1992), NBA Sportsmanship Award (1997), PAC-10 Player of the Year at Oregon (1991), and 2x First Team all PAC-10 (1990, 1991).
