Cleveland Browns: Five Non-QB Options For The 12th Overall Pick

Compliment To Barnidge
If somehow former Alabama tight end O.J. Howard slipped to 12, how does he not get drafted by Cleveland? Of course, it all depends who else was passed over but at the end of the day there is not that many prospects ranked higher than him.
Cleveland Browns
However, if Howard were to slip past the Jacksonville Jaguars at four, Carolina Panthers at eight, and the Buffalo Bills at 10, then he may be the best player on the board. I do not envision Howard falling out of the top 10, but if the beginning of round one is defensive heavy as many expects to happen, then such a fall would not be as surprising.
Pairing up Howard with veteran Gary Barnidge would allow Cleveland to open up their offense more. In turn, their play-action and running game would be more effectively in the offense.
Let me paint a picture for you. There is Barnidge and Howard on the field, which is great. From there you combine a significantly upgraded offensive line to go with wide receivers Kenny Britt, Corey Coleman, (possibly) Josh Gordon, and running back Isaiah Crowell.
Boy, just think of the fun head coach Hue Jackson would have figuring out matchup nightmares scenarios for opposing defenses. When I think of what could be in this hypothetical, the Jack Nicholson GIF with his wide smile and nodding comes to mind instantly for some reason. Ha ha!
