Kay Felder, PG

There’s been a lot of talk regarding Kay Felder in this column, but it’s been about guys looking to take his job.

Felder’s going to get a shot to make the Cavs because Dan Gilbert paid over $2 million to buy his draft rights from the Hawks during the 2016 NBA Draft.

The Summer League is setup to showcase a player such as Felder’s talents. He does have offensive game, and it shows playing against summer league competition, just as it did this past season with the Canton Charge, where Felder averaged 29.9 points and 6.6 assists per game.

But Cavs’ Country got to see the former second-round pick in action at Quicken Loans Arena last season, and the returns weren’t good.

Felder can score, and offense will always be in demand. But can he do it in actual NBA games? That’s what remains to be seen.

Next: Trading Tristan would be beneficial

In 42 games with Cleveland last season, Felder averaged 4.0 points, 1.4 assists, and 0.7 turnovers per game.
