1. Wide receiving corps shows promise

If there is one group of players that has something to prove this season for the Buckeyes, it is this group of wide receivers. After a passing game that was anything but fun to watch in 2016, there are a lot of expectations in 2017.

When the final depth chart came out for week 1, there aren’t 2 definite starters. Urban Meyer likes to run a system that rotates receivers in and out continuously throughout the game. It is going to be highlighted by sophomore Austin Mack, Junior Johnnie Dixon, Sophomore Binjimen Victor and Junior Terry McLaurin.

Also working in the mix at H-Back will be Parris Campbell and K.J. Hill.

Under Urban Meyer, the H-Back position is just as important as any wideout position. Back in 2016, the receiving corps had recorded the lowest yards ever in the Meyer era.

But 2017 is a new year, and it is bringing a new group of receivers. In order for this team to succeed, this receivers are going to have to prove that they can not only effective all game but they also have to be effective when it comes to the deep ball. Just like back in 2014.

The main deep ball target for J.T Barrett is going to be 6-4, 190 pound Binjimin Victor. And against Indiana, Victor will prove that.

There is no doubt Kevin Wilson is going to want to take a shot early against his former team. Watch out for Wilson to draw up a plan that involves throwing the ball deep to Victor very early in the game.
