Steelers have questions at DB

Take your shot DeShone Kizer.

Those deep preseason throws that mesmerized Browns fans during the preseason will likely be on display in the season opener.

And If Kizer can hit on one or two, the Browns will be on their way to celebrating something almost as a rare as a total lunar eclipse–and Opening Week win.

So, why be so optimistic?

The Steelers secondary  can be had. No further proof is needed than seeing the team sign Joe Haden. The Steelers defense needs help at corner and they’re hoping Haden can be a productive player.

For as beloved as Haden still is on the north shore, it’s no secret that he was getting beat…a lot.

Speed kills, and Haden got burned a lot, especially during his final season with the Browns. Expect coach Hue Jackson to dial up a deep ball for Sammie Coates early to test the veteran.

Additionally, the Steelers appear to be starting undrafted rookie Mike Hilton in slot coverage.

The Browns receiving corps is still unproven, but there is speed there. The unit doesn’t have to use this game to make the Hall of Fame, rather they need to help Kizer extend drives and hit a big play or two.
