2. After a few down weeks, running back Duke Johnson gets back to being heavily involved in offense.

It is not out of the question to say Johnson has been the Browns best offensive player this year. He has gone over 70 total yards four times in eight games, while also functioning as a great receiver out of the backfield.

However, he has seen his fair share of struggles the past few weeks. In two of the last three games, Johnson has totaled 18 touches for just 82 yards. A solid game (13 touches, 71 yards) was sandwiched in between, but this inconsistency was not seen early in the season.

Meanwhile, fellow backfield mate Isaiah Crowell has seized the opportunity for more work, especially in the passing game. In Cleveland’s last two games, Crowell has eight catches for 90 yards. He has also received no fewer than 14 touches in the last four weeks.

While this is concerning for Johnson, the Browns have no choice but to get him back heavily involved. Wide receiver Corey Coleman is still not eligible to return to the lineup, and fellow wideout Josh Gordon is not yet fully reinstated. Johnson is going to need to get more carries and looks in the passing game to help his young quarterback out.

Detroit allows the ninth-most catches to opposing running backs this year with six per game. With how often Cleveland targets their running backs, that should be the floor for this week. Johnson is fully recovered from the concussion he suffered in Week 8 and should have a solid bounce-back effort this weekend.
