Louis Riddick, ESPN broadcaster

The insightful ESPN broadcaster aspires to be an NFL general manager and he came close last offseason, interviewing with the 49ers. The job eventually went to John Lynch but Louis Riddick should continue to be an interesting name floated around this offseason.

Riddick played seven seasons in the NFL, and was a Brown from 1993-1995.

Riddick, 48, cut his teeth in scouting for three years with the Redskins before getting promoted within the organization to director of pro personnel, a position he held from 2005-2007. From there, he worked in scouting for the Eagles, ultimatley becoming Philadelphia director of pro personnel from 2010 through 2013.

Even though he doesn’t have a track record you can trace through past draft picks, he should know how to evaluate players. Additionally, he knows how the league works and there’s no doubt that his work in the media would only help him in the world of NFL executive networking.
