10 moves the Cleveland Browns must make during the 2018 offseason
6. Finally unearth a QB in the middle of the draft
If finding a breakout star in the middle of the draft was easy, I wouldn’t be blogging from the Factory of Sadness. I’d be in the office next to Jimmy Haslam’s in Berea.
With that said, the Haslams do pay men to try and find these players. They have scouts and new GM in John Dorsey to try and unearth some talent.
Let’s find the next Kareem Hunt, Alvin Kamara or Cooper Kupp. Heck, even the Bengals struck gold with Carl Lawson, a fourth-round linebacker who tallied eight sacks in his rookie campaign.
Who’s the last impact player the Browns have taken from the middle of the draft?
Don’t give me Joe Schobert either. I know. He’s got a ton of tackles. Andra Davis and D’Qwell Jackson did too.
It’s something to think about, especially as more and more draft information pours into the populous. The Browns have had so many draft picks, yet they’ve yet to win the lottery.
