Cleveland Browns: 5 free agents the Browns must target
Terrelle Pryor, WR, Browns
Terrelle Pryor returning to Cleveland doesn’t exactly mean a lot in terms of win, as the Browns won just won game when the former Ohio State quarterback was on the roster in 2016.
With that said, the Browns need help at receiver, and it’d be interesting to match Pryor up with Hue Jackson, the coach with whom he produce the 1,000-yard season for.
Hopefully, John Dorsey will avoid the mistake the Browns made a season ago, offering a four-year $32 million contract–the same deal Pryor turned down–to Kenny Britt.

Britt was an established veteran coming off a 1,000-yard season, but it was obvious the payday cut into his hunger for the game. With Pryor likely having to sign another “prove it to me deal,” along with the probably he won’t be a hot draw on the market based off his 2017 stats, the Browns could easily be in position to bring Pryor back into the mix.
It’s worth noting that Pryor may have played his cards about where he wants to play next season following an exchange with current Browns defensive back Jason McCourty.
Pryor produced and his passion to win was evident. Some fans actually got down on him when he became visibly upset when his quarterbacks weren’t able to get him the ball.
I never understood their discontent.
For a team that needs guy with his hunger and comitment, Browns fans should roll out the red carpet if TP returns.
Jarvis Landry and Sammy Watkins will be other talked about options in free agency, and with over $100 million in cap space, Cleveland could certainly take a run at both men, if it wanted too.
However, proceed with caution.
Landry is not a No. 1 wideout, and would probably be better suited in the slot.
As for Watkins, the Rams could use the franchise tag on the Clemson product, whom they acquired from the Bills last offseason.
With Jared Goff getting the Rams offense to explode, Watkins had only 39 catches for 593 yards, although he did have eight touchdown grabs.
He hasn’t lived up to being the No. 4 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but his ability to score touchdowns is invaluable. Just ask any Browns fan. With that said, it would be surprising to see Watkins LA, especially for the downtrodden Browns.
