3. J’Mon Moore, Mizzou

Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller pegged J’Mon Moore for the fifth round, while DraftScout.com has Moore as a fourth-round selection. His NFL Draft profile has him projected to go between rounds three and four.

Turn in the card: J’Mon Moore didn’t have a 40-time that will catch your eye, but that’s why putting all of your eggs into one basket may be a bad idea.

Moore excelled in the three-cone drill, as well as the 20-yard and 60-yard shuttle run. Plus he showed off on the bench press putting up 21 reps of 225 pounds. That ranked third among the 34 receivers. His athleticism was also put on display in the vertical, as his 38-inch jump ranked fourth out of 38 wideouts.

He’s got a 6-3 frame that would be a nice target for whomever ends up playing quarterback for the Browns this season.

Moore also showed consistency as a upperclassman while in college. As a junior, he caught 62 passes for 1,012 yards, while hauling in 65 receptions for 1,082 yards as a senior.

Not so fast: Don’t let the 4.6 second, 40-yard dash time be the end all be all, but it does suggest a lack of explosion on the line. Interestingly, his NFL Draft profile said he has a “surly” reputation. It’s unlikely he’ll be able to have much of an impact as a rookie.

Final take: Moore needs a lot of polish, but what do you expect when you go searching for wide receivers in the middle of the draft? He’s got some nice features, and would obviously need some coaching to bring him up to speed.
