4. Deon Cain, Clemson
Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller projected Deon Cain as a late second-round selection, while the wide out’s NFL Draft profile also has him pegged round two.
Turn in the card: Cain measured bigger at the combine (6-2, opposed to 6-1), which only helps his stock. Plus, he’s got those long arms (33 inches) and already possesses an ability to separate from the competition with his 4.43 40-yard dash time.
Not so fast: Focus seems to be an issue with Cain, who had way more false start penalties than a receiver should have. Drops were also a concern.
Final take: Cain’s projected to go in the second round, but the Browns pick too early to select him. Perhaps Cleveland engineers a trade up from the third to get into the late second. Cain is someone who can help next season.
