Rumor 4: Tristan doesn’t want to be traded

This is life after LeBron. The Cavs are going to get something for what they have as the organization attempts to claw back from the bottom.

Losing James made plenty of fans salty (this one included) with his recent move to LA, but wasn’t worth it?  The Cavaliers were the focal points of the sports universe with James on the hardwood.

Now, we get stories that Tristan Thompson sees James’ departure as his chance to become a superstar.

That’s right. Thompson doesn’t want to be traded, according to a story from HollywoodLife.com.

"“Being traded wouldn’t be his first option,” scribe Jason Brow wrote."

Thompson may be a scoundrel, but man, he can clean the offensive glass, especially during crunch time in the playoffs.

Superstars need to do a little more, like show athleticism in the post and shoot 3’s though, and TT does neither.

Thompson has never averaged double-digit scoring or rebounding figures during his NBA career, so if he actually takes a step toward superstardom, he will shock the world.

Kidding assisde, Thompson does have value as a rebounder and if his numbers go up, even a little, it may sway another team to take his contract of the Cavs’ hands.

Be skeptical, but it’s the NBA. Anything can happen.
